The 5-pin male M12 connector on the probe provides an easy plug-in/plug-out connection to a compatible cable. Using a shielded cable in the installation and grounding is recommended. The GMP251 probe itself does not require a shielded cable, but if the installation environment contains high levels of EMC noise, the disturbance may be transmitted to another connected device through an unshielded cable.
