WARNING Damaged or severely worn parts can cause incorrect operation or accidents. Check the winch before each use. Do not use the winch if it is damaged or not working properly.
If the lifting rod and winch are already installed, start from Erecting mast.
  1. Assemble the lifting rod by screwing the single parts to the joined parts.
  2. Attach the lifting rod to the mast base plate.

  3. Lift up the lifting rod and push it towards the mast.
  4. Attach the end of the lifting rod to the guy rod with a shackle.

  5. Check that the guy rods are straight.
  6. Pull approximately 7 to 8 m (23 to 26 ft) of the winch wire towards the end of the lifting rod.
    WARNING Do not touch the wire with bare hands. Use gloves. If the wire must be adjusted, carefully guide the wire with your hand and make sure nothing gets caught between the wire or the equipment.
  7. Attach the winch hook to the end of the lifting rod.

  8. Remove the locking pin from the winch and install the winch to the lifting eye bolts on the guy wire foundation.

  9. Secure the winch with the locking pin.
