Lightning protection kit DKL201 is suitable for the following Vaisala masts with a diameter of 60 mm (2.36 in) at the top:

  • Vaisala DKE100 Series Guyed Frangible Mast
  • Vaisala DKE200 Series Frangible Lattice Mast
  • Vaisala DKP200 Series Tiltable Pole Mast
  • Vaisala Long Pole Mast DKP110

  1. Place the air terminal brackets on both sides of the mast. The installation height is 30 cm (11.8 in) from the top of the mast.
    CAUTION To prevent equipment damage, install the air terminal so that its tip is as high above the sensors as possible.
    CAUTION Position the air terminal bracket so that the mast down conductor and the other cables can be routed down on the opposite sides of the mast.
  2. Install all the screws except the one on the top right corner of the brackets. Do not tighten the screws yet.

  3. Install the air terminal between the screws so that the bent lower end of the air terminal comes out from between the upper screws.
  4. Install the remaining screw, washers, and nut.
  5. Tighten all 9 screws.
