When new alarms exist, the Navigation mode shows the Alarms icon in red on top of the Observation mode:
Depending on the alarm types, the unacknowledged alarms are marked with a red icon (alarm) or an orange icon (warning). When the alarms have been acknowledged, the icon color tone changes.
