Wear protective eyewear, gloves, and a safety helmet.
CAUTION Install the down conductor on the opposite side of the mast from the other cables.
  1. Turn the down conductor towards the grounding connector, avoiding sharp turns.
    CAUTION Keep the curve of the down conductor smooth with a minimum radius of the bent cable 20 cm (8 in) and never over 90° angles.
  2. Cut the down conductor to the appropriate length.
  3. Strip 40 mm (1.57 in) of the cable jacket from the end of the down conductor.
  4. Unscrew one of the fixing screws in the grounding connector and push the down conductor through the grounding connector.
  5. Secure the down conductor with the fixing screw.
