CAUTION Do not touch the sensor plate. It is fragile.
CAUTION If you must touch the RAINCAP plate, for example during cleaning, first touch a metallic part of the present weather detector to discharge your body’s electrostatic load.
  1. Assemble the mounting bracket.
  2. Attach the mounting bracket to the sensor with the hex screws. Leave the screws loose so that you can slide the bracket on the support arm.

Pay attention to the position of the bottom part of the mounting clamp. The upwards pointing wings must be parallel with the support arm.

  3. Connect the sensor cable to the connector at the bottom of the sensor, and tighten the connector.
  4. Test that the connector does not swing. If it swings, the mating surface of the connector is not sealed and will leak, and the connector terminals will be exposed to weather.
CAUTION Tighten the cable connector properly. The cable connector must not swing in relation to the fixed connector.
  5. Haul the sensor up.
  6. Mount the sensor on the support arm so that the bracket is 1 cm (0.4 in) from the end of the support arm. Tighten the mounting bracket hex screws. Tightening torque 5 Nm.
