Install the IR illuminator on the same
mounting frame as the Mobotix fixed camera or directly on the support arm. If you have two
IR illuminators, you can install them at both ends of a support arm and aim the beams to
cross the camera path.
For the best results, install the IR
illuminator close to the camera and aim it on the same vertical line as the lens of the
fixed camera.
CAUTION Do not aim the IR
illuminator at the PWD receiver.

To prevent corrosion,
oxidation, and seizing, use a non‑conductive, non‑water‑soluble, non‑silicone‑based
grease, such as ceramic or Teflon paste, between different kinds of metal.
Change the beam angle if needed. For instructions, see the manufacturer
documentation.
By default, the holder is attached to the bottom of the IR illuminator. Move the holder
to the top so that the text is the right way up.
To install IR illuminator directly on the support arm, attach the holder to a threaded
M6 insert in the support arm. Tightening torque 5 Nm.

bottom of the frame. Tightening torque 5 Nm.

To adjust the power output and photocell sensitivity, use the remote control.
Vaisala recommends that you set the power output to the maximum. For instructions, see
the manufacturer documentation.
After powering up the station and
connecting to the Web UI, check the camera image and adjust the vertical position of the IR
illuminator, if needed.
