Install the sensor low enough to make the
cleaning easy, and high enough to prevent dust from the road surface accumulating on the
sensor.
Avoid cables, tree branches, or any
objects that may disturb rain detection above the sensor.

CAUTION Do not touch the sensor plate. It is fragile.
CAUTION If you must touch the RAINCAP plate, for example during cleaning, first touch a metallic part of the present weather detector to discharge your body’s electrostatic load.
To prevent corrosion,
oxidation, and seizing, use a non‑conductive, non‑water‑soluble, non‑silicone‑based
grease, such as ceramic or Teflon paste, between different kinds of metal.
Attach the wind shield to the sensor mounting plate.
Fasten the mounting plate to the end of the support arm.
Write
down the sensor serial number and cable length. This is needed for the metadata in the Web
UI.
