Wiring diagrams
Before going to the installation site, print the wiring diagrams in A3 size and take them with you. The wiring diagrams are available on the USB drive delivered with the weather station:
- RWS200 in ENC652, ENC653, BOXALU‑US, or BOXSS‑US: DRW241034
- RWS200 in ENC722: DRW242210
Tools
The following tools (not supplied by Vaisala) may be required for the installation, depending on the selected sensors:
- Set of Allen keys
- Ratchet wrench or socket wrench
- Torque wrench (recommended)
- Set of combination wrenches
- Crosshead screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Spirit level
- Utility knife
- Compass
- Crimping tool. For example, Knipex self-adjusting crimping pliers (supplier model 97 53 04).
- Cable stripper. For example, Weidmuller Stripax stripping tool for 10 mm² / 25 mm cables (supplier order no. 9005000000).
- Cable cutters
- Laser distance meter with incline measurement capability. For example, Bosch GLM 80 (DSC211 and DST111 only).
- Hammer
Equipment
The following equipment is required for the installation (not supplied by Vaisala):
- Safety helmet, safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, high visibility clothing, and other appropriate safety equipment
- Rope for lifting up the support arms and sensors
- Dozens of cable ties in different sizes (outdoor models with proper UV resistance)
- Metal foil tape with conductive adhesive
- Masking tape
- Electrical tape
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Mild detergent
- Soft, lint-free cloth
- Permanent marker pen (sharpie)
- Laptop computer
- Ceramic or Teflon paste
| To prevent corrosion, oxidation, and seizing, use a non‑conductive, non‑water‑soluble, non‑silicone‑based grease, such as ceramic or Teflon paste, between different kinds of metal. |
