  • 4‑mm ball‑end Allen key of 150 mm (6 in) in length (included)
  • Laser distance meter with incline measurement capability (not included)

The measuring distance is individual to each installation location, and the sensor must be adjusted according to that distance. Fine adjustment is done through sensor configuration.

  1. Measure the distance of the sensor from the road and the installation angle.

If direct measurement is not possible, use the estimates provided in Placing DSC.

  2. Locate the individual calibration sticker on the bottom of the sensor and estimate the required number of turns.
  3. Set the distance measurement to initial position by gently turning the adjustment screw clockwise until it stops.
  4. Turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise the required number of turns.
The measuring distance is now roughly adjusted.

After powering up the station and connecting to the Web UI, adjust the measuring distance setting in the DSC211 operations window and calibrate the sensor. For instructions, see RWS200 Configuration and Maintenance Manual (M211803EN).

Write down the measuring distance, installation angle, and compass point where the sensor is aimed. This is needed for the metadata in the Web UI.
