If the transmitter is malfunctioning, the analog output is set to a pre-defined level of 3.8 mA. This overrides the normal measurement output of the channel. You can change the level, or disable this behavior, using the AERR command:
AERR [on/off] [level]<cr>
- on/off
- Enable (on) or disable (off) the analog output error notification.
- level
- Analog output level, range 3.5 ... 30 mA.
Example (show current settings):
>aerr
Notification : ON
Error level 4-20 mA (mA): 3.800000
>
Example (disable analog output error notification):
>aerr off
>Notification : OFF
Saving settings...done
>
Example (enable analog output error notification, set level to 21 mA):
>aerr on 21
Error level 4-20 mA (mA): 21.000000
Saving settings...done

The error output value is displayed only when there are minor electrical faults such as a humidity sensor damage. When there is a severe device malfunction, the error output value is not necessarily shown. |
