In standard delivery you need to connect only the serial or Ethernet cable and
the power cable.
| The Ethernet cable must be a pair cable
with shield grounding (Ethernet FTP CAT5). |
| Warning Make sure that you
prepare or connect only de-energized wires. |

| CAUTION In standard delivery,
connectors marked as NOT IN USE are not for customer
use. |
| Polarization features of the
connectors prevent incorrect mating. |
| If you are using the connector plate, the
following figure does not apply. |
The display has an always active AC termination for RS‑422/RS‑485. The AC terminator
contains a 160 Ω resistor and a series capacitor.
-
Remove the connectors from the circuit board.
-
Depending on the communication mode, connect the serial cable or the Ethernet
cable.
-
Set the DIP switches to the correct position for the serial connection.
-
Connect the power cable.
-
Loosen the fixing screw for the strain relief cover plate, and remove the plate.
-
Attach the cables to the strain relief brackets.
| If you are using the connector plate, the
following figure does not apply. |
| CAUTION For proper grounding,
make sure that the cable shield is between the bracket and the device. |
-
Use the grounding point in the strain relief plate for equipotential bonding, where
applicable.
-
Reattach the strain relief cover plate.
-
Reattach each connector to the circuit board.
