You can mount WMT700 on a vertical pole mast or a horizontal cross arm using the WS425 mounting kit. The mounting procedure is the same. Typically, you can upgrade from WS425 to WMT700 without removing the mounting kit.

If you remove the mounting kit, you must align the wind sensor after mounting. Mark both the wind sensor and the mounting kit with a marker pen before removing the mounting kit. You can use the mark as a rough reference when starting the aligning process described in Aligning WMT700.

When mounting WMT700 to a cross arm, you can place the wind sensor with the array facing up or down. If the wind sensor is installed with the array facing down, configure WMT700 accordingly. See Configuration.
