Make sure that the first rubber insulation plate is around the transformer mounting
screw on the mounting plate.
Connect the transformer grounding wire with a ring tongue connector to the grounding
screw.
Place the new transformer onto the transformer mounting screw.
Place a second rubber insulation disc on the transformer.
Feed the transformer mounting screw through the center hole of the round, metal
transformer cover plate, and onto the transformer.
Tighten the transformer nut firmly with the original lock washer and nut.
If you cannot tighten the transformer nut firmly, do the following:
Attach the M6 spacer (delivered with the upgrade kit) to the transformer mounting
screw and screw the spacer down until it almost touches the transformer mounting
nut.
Insert the M6 hex screw (delivered with the upgrade kit) to the spacer and turn the
screw until it is touches the transformer mounting screw.
Use a wrench (size 10) to fix the
spacer in its current position. Use another wrench (size 10) to tighten the
hexagonal screw firmly.
Tighten the transformer mounting nut.
Use one wrench (size 10) to fix
the spacer in its current position. Use another wrench (size 10) to tighten the
transformer mounting nut firmly.
Fix the spacer in its position with a wrench (size 10). Use another wrench (size
10) to loosen the hex screw and remove the spacer and hex screw from the transformer
mounting screw.
