The network time protocol NTP is used to set system clocks accurately to the current time. Vaisala recommends that you use NTP if the weather station is connected to the internet. NTP makes sure that all observations have the correct timestamp.
  1. In AWS Client, select Settings > Parameters > Static.
  2. In the NTP parameter set, set the following parameters.
    interval

Network time polling interval. The default value is 3600.0 s.

    primif

The primary communications interface to use. The value is preset at the factory. Modify the value only using the ifpriority command.

    secif

(Optional) The secondary communication interface to use. The value is preset at the factory. Modify the value only using the ifpriority command.

    server1

Hostname or IP address of the NTP server.

    timetol

Time error tolerance in seconds. When the local system clock deviates from the NTP time more than the specified value, the weather station applies a new time from the NTP server.
