If you install the equipment in tropical, marine, or cold environments, keep the equipment within its specific operating conditions. To avoid dust, dirt, or water from entering the equipment, tighten the cable glands properly.
Warning Using a long cable between different units (sensors, transmitters, power supplies, and displays) can cause a lethal surge voltage, if a lightning strike occurs in the vicinity. Always ground the mast equipment case close to the mast with a short and low-resistance cable.
  • Cable cutters
  • Cable stripper
  • Slothead screwdriver
  1. Remove the four screws holding the cover of the junction box. Remove the cover.
  2. Lead the sensor cable through the cable gland.
  3. For better protection against RF interference, fold the braided cable shield over the plastic sleeve.
  4. Connect the wires to the line terminal inside the junction box. See Wiring wind sensors WAA151 and WAV151
The wiring diagram inside the box is applicable only for WAA151 and WAV151 sensors with shaft heating.
  5. Tighten the output cable glands.
  6. Reattach the cover carefully with four screws.

Make sure that the gasket seals the junction box properly.

  7. Attach the cross arm to the top of the pole mast with the mounting clamp.
  8. Mount the sensors on the cross arm.
Make sure that the wind vane end points North .
