The General I/O module card adds digital inputs and outputs to Multichannel user interface MI. The module card provides 8 input/output channels.
The input and output terminals are galvanically isolated according to:
- UL 2500 V rms (UL1577)
- CSA 800 V rms (1131V peak) maximum working voltage - basic insulation
- CSA 400 V rms (566V peak) maximum working voltage - reinforced insulation
- VDE Reinforced insulation 560V peak
- TüV Reinforced insulation 400V rms maximum working voltage

---|---|
Conductor cross section | 0.14 … 1.5 mm2 (28 … 16 AWG) |
Tightening torque, max. | 0.25 Nm (0.18 ft lbs) |
Voltage reference
IO voltage can be selected with a jumper in the module. IO voltage options are internal 5 V, internal 24 V and external voltage.
CAUTION The default jumper setting on PR-50024 makes I/O to work with 5 V DC. |
When external voltage is selected, a voltage of 3 … 30 V DC must be provided between V_IO and GND pin.
WARNING When external power supply is connected to General I/O module terminals and power to MI or module is disconnected, I/O states are undefined and may go to HIGH state. |
