New features and enhancements
As part of Vaisala's commitment to delivering a continuously improving product, this
service update includes the following:
- viewLinc Enterprise Server now supports the new Vaisala VDL200, a versatile Ethernet-connected data logger that is both easy to deploy and compatible with a range of Vaisala's high-performance, interchangeable probes.
- Debug log file improvements to help troubleshooting.
- UI display improvements, like increasing the padding on trend graphs to make the data easier to read.
- Additional information added to the Edit Channel Properties window, including probe details.

This service update includes the following
fixes:
- Fixed an issue causing the signal tower list to not be updated after upgrade to viewLinc 5.2.
- Fixed an issue in which data unrecoverable alarms were requiring a double acknowledgment.
- Fixed an issue causing active missing historical data alarms to persist when the system is upgraded from any earlier version to 5.2.
- Fixed a rare issue that was causing comments to not appear in some Events.
- Fixed an issue that caused some
Provisional Threshold Alarm notifications to be missing the
Provisional
descriptor. - Fixed a calibration date discrepancy between viewLinc and Insight.
- Fixed an issue with the battery anomaly/data sample inconsistency/low battery alarm feature.
- Fixed an issue that was causing Active Directory connections to fail if port 389 was disabled.
- Fixed an issue with missing threshold lines in trends after a certain amount of data samples were displayed.
- Fixed an issue in which the animated progress bubbles persisted after multiple alarms were acknowledged at the same time.
